Create positive and lasting memories by re-energising your students in the outdoors

Our metro journeys range from 2 to 5 days in length and allow your students to explore easily accessible local parks and nature reserves in a metropolitan environment. With minimal travel time, your students and staff have more time to develop their leadership skills.

Young Australians are living through one of the most tumultuous periods in modern times, having to adapt and deal with unprecedented changes in how they live and learn. While some students have enjoyed online learning and more time spent with family, for others, it may have been challenging and distressing. Given this, it is no wonder that returning to school comes with a mix of relief and unease for young people.

The sense of community schools offer is essential for students of all ages. Re-energise your student community with our post-COVID-19 metro journeys. Ensure your students are all at ease by allowing them to set off and an adventure together. Remind your students they are strong and capable. Create positive and lasting memories while promoting their wellbeing through new and exciting adventure activities and friendship.

Because each young learner is unique, our programming allows for peaks, valleys, turbulence, excitement, periods of calm, and periods of activity. Students and staff move through a sequence of outcome-based activities, prefaced with a briefing, and concluded with a debrief aimed toward self-reflection and recognition of one's own capabilities. This reflection is a vital part of experiential education.

Wellbeing and mindfulness – camp set-up activities such as tree check, trangia cooking and cleaning and an introduction to Leave No Trace with a focus on rubbish and animal safety all engage students with their surroundings. Each activity allows students to make decisions and learn to take credit for their actions.

Fun and friendship – adventure activities such as raft building, climbing, cycling or canoeing require students to work in pairs and support each other physically and emotionally as they learn new skills together.

Positive education – short bushwalking journey requires all students to take on individual responsibilities roles. They learn basic skills in map and compass reading as they explore and connect with their surroundings.
