Inspire friendship and camaraderie among your students by allowing them to share in new and exciting experiences together

Our metro journeys range from 2 to 5 days in length and allow your students to explore easily accessible local parks and nature reserves in a metropolitan environment. With minimal travel time, your students have more time for laughter and fun.

Friendships amongst young people promote the development of vital social and emotional skills, increasing a sense of belonging and decreasing stress. However, students of all ages can sometimes struggle with friendship issues. Understanding how to communicate effectively, learning to trust and how to navigate social interactions takes practice and experience.

Our fun and friendship metro journeys focus on building strong relationships by increasing your student's communication skills and building their trust. Inspire your students to explore themselves and each other by allowing them to set out on an adventure and share in new and exciting experiences in the outdoors.

Because each young learner is unique, our programming allows for peaks, valleys, turbulence, excitement, periods of calm, and periods of activity. Students move through a sequence of outcome-based activities, prefaced with a briefing, and concluded with a debrief aimed toward self-reflection and recognition of one's own capabilities. This reflection is a vital part of experiential education.

Trust and empathy – in small groups, students are responsible for preparing and cooking their own meals, as well as cleaning up. They are encouraged to recognise and trust the abilities of their peers and to support one another.

Fun and friendship – canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing or abseiling require peers to support one another as they learn new skills and push beyond their comfort zones. Bonds are deepened as they encourage each other and observe their peers achieving their goals.

Communication – students learn how to pack and prepare their day packs. During a bushwalk journey, they must work together to master new skills such as orienting direction, map reading and measuring distance. They must work together to plan their route together and navigate their way.
